Desi designer "KETNA PATEL"

                Iam truly amazed when I see KETNA PATEL's magic in furniture designs ....she applied her ideas effectively in each of her creations...Ketna Patel is a Singapore based architect-designer who has a Gujarati background...she has the ability to work on any surface or set for herself the task of sending out a message through her art....she is among the new breed of architect-designers, who draw the rules of design all the time, refusing to be pigeon-holed into a particular mould....

 

                  The rich cultural tradition of Asia continues to intrigue and excite her and most of her works reflect this fascination...Ketna attempts to make her furniture colourful and attractive as she feels they liven up a house...she says the best colours to lift your spirit are orange, green and yellow as they give out a lot of energy...she use computer a lot to work on her projects....her work with furniture has Mahatma Gandhi, Aung San Suu Kyi, the Dalai Lama and other leaders , is her way of sending out a message...

The scenic "OCEAN SPRAY"

  Our holiday to Pondicherry this time was worthwhile coz of the resort we stayed...it's the Ocean Spray where major portion of the resort is surrounded with water....amazing experience with nature's treasure water and greenaries....have a look at the shots and feel the ocean behind :-)

CHRISTMAS Decorations Roundup

     Hi friends, first I wish you all happy New year and belated Christmas wishes too...hope you are back from holidays and back to pavilion...tired of festive food,shuttling to relatives houses etc and now have completely comeout of all that and ready to share everything with you here...

FAIRY MOBILE

          First i welcome this Christmas month and wish everyone for joy and happiness....It's been a long time wish for me to make a fairy mobile and achieved it recently with my lil one...this craft could be apt to celebtate the Christmas with these fairies as angels for my daughter....so i got the props for her and took couple hours to complete but the result is something adorable i feel....



 

let me tell the needed items first,

• set of mobile hangers
• pre-cut wings and leaves
• pre-cut felt flowers
• yarn
• ribbon(pink color)
• wooden beads
• silk flowers
• pipecleaner
• silver string
• glue,double-sided adhesive tapes,scissors,big needle

 

cut the pipe cleaners in length long(legs) and short(hands) and yarn for hair and give the fairy touch with flower skirt and butterfly wings attached.... 

 

 

make the butterfly with these silver strings tied over it tightly....

 

 

 

to make the mobile strings,

• cut five lengths of yarn:two 50cm,two 45cm and one 30cm...thread the needle...pull the thread through the needle and leave one long and one short end...
• after finishing the strings, it's time to add the fairies...use the needle to poke the yarn end firmly into the fairy's hair...
• assemble the hanger....
• cut the pink ribbon and tie it onto the hanger...
• fasten the mobile strings to the frame....fairy mobile is ready now!
