The ORISSA Handicrafts


Last week was fabulous for my craft craze where i could see lot of Orissa Craft Exhibitions everywhere in the tinsel town...fully drenched with that found lot of craft varieties intricated well and wonder about the artisans talent...wow they are doing wonderful job and some which attracted me is here sharing you...


                                      this is the Orissa modern applique done in fabric...


the animal figurines made from plant husks....


most of you are aware of about this tribal art work done in brass which is more popular...


                                                                 the tribal art work in painting...


 
the arts in bamboo frame looks simple yet elegant...


this classic fan is made up of fabric and the thread and mirror work makes it look fabulous...


this is called Pattachitra art...believe it or not this story art is done in palm leaf...


the brass figurines...


the Krishna-Radhe emotions art....


the tribal scene as modern applique in fabric...








this MahaRaja scene art is detailly done in silk cloth which is so difficult to do...


this is something interesting...keep keen eye on this paper, yes this is the old stamp paper...the art done in this kindda paper is considered to be something very special...
